Aims and objectives
The aims of HEADWAY SELNWK are:
- To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers.
- To provide a specialist service to local authorities and clinical commissioning groups in the SELNWK region.
- To work in partnership with other community organisations in order to work in the best interest of our clients
The objectives of HEADWAY SELNWK are:
- To increase awareness of brain injury and its consequences
- To provide information, support and services for people with brain injuries, their families and carers and others with an interest in brain injury.
- To develop new and innovative initiatives to brain injury screening, acute care, assessment, rehabilitation and social re-integration.
- To assist people with a brain injury, together with health and social care, to achieve an optimal level of independence in the community living, including access to appropriate accommodation, social outlets, and productive activity.
- To liaise and work with other Headway UK and groups and branches throughout the UK to provide continuity and share information and examples of best practice.
